Higar Trading have developed a global network of approved suppliers. We are able to supply low cost products supported by a robust infrastructure and project management. This allows the customer to benefit from a UK single point of contact with the advantage of low cost procurement without risk.

This newly established business is offering supply of machined components & electro mechanical assemblies covering lower cost solutions and offset obligations from source in South Africa, China, Brazil & India.

The business division is headed by Mark Falconer - Director Global Sourcing. Mark has a wealth of Aerospace sourcing experience having working in the sector for over 25 years and formerly worked for the United Technologies Corporation Global Sourcing Team.

Our primary focal region is China where we have established an engineering and logistics team of 50 employees based both in Hong Kong and Central China. The team is dedicated to support the Supplier Development, and Quality Assurance process including product Introduction and ongoing supplier performance.

The head of these operations is a former UK Senior Manufacturing Engineer who has been operating in China and the wider Asia Pacific for the past 20 years.

China offers a diverse range of manufacturing capability and depth of machining experience that goes back more than 50 years. The age profile of the apprentice trained engineers along with 27 million students in polytechnics China presents a long term capability.

The technical capability is advanced and growing you only have to see the China Space and Aero programs to see the investment the richest nation is making.

We are able to source single machined items to complete electro mechanical assemblies.

The myth of only volume counts in China is no longer the case, for sure repeat demand is essential to justify the returns.

Higar UK is crucial in the process of providing full product and quality assurance supplied product through our AS9100 quality assured inspection facility here in the UK.

We also offer the "Lift & Shift" solution for more complex parts where we will engineer product fully in the UK to obtain a robust manufacture process and then shift the production to Low Cost for the remaining duration of the product life. This will include complex 5 Axis components.
